TO ARMS! The peasant levy could make up a bulk of an army during this time period but were rarely the decisive element in a battle. They were raised in one of three ways, as members of a lord's household, as mercenaries, or levied from a town or the countryside. Many of the-men were armed, had some training, and came from the upper peasantry, the tenant farmers who would have at one time had prior experience of a battle.
This hard plastic box set allows you to build up to 24 levy with a wide variety of weapons, including spear, bow, club, sling, ax, sword, and a variety of farm implements as a last resort. A variety of heads allow for even more customization and parts can be combined with the other sets in the range.
