Description
Give your Late Roman miniatures the colors of the Ioviani Seniores with this set of 36 pre-cut shield decals. Designed for direct application to Wargames Atlantic plastic shields, these decals provide a convenient way to create a historically inspired palatine legion.
Named for Jupiter, patron of Emperor Diocletian, the Ioviani held the highest place on the infantry roster of the Western field army. They served beside their sister legion, the Herculiani, from the Tetrarchy into the fifth century. The shield pattern is recorded in the Notitia Dignitatum.
